ANNOUNCEMENTS 13th December
We thank God we are back to weekday and Sunday Masses. Effectively this is a return to the previous Covid-secure protocols. We now encourage our parishioners to come back to parish Masses. The Lord wants us to come back to him in this holy season of Advent in preparation for our Christmas celebrations. Of course, you can still offer Masses for your intentions or offering to the parish; Christmas offerings, gifts, and cards by posting them through the presbytery door at 20 Beaumont Road, Totton. You can quickly reach me at fathergerryo@yahoo.co.uk ; Tel: 07828556917; 023 80862270. I am very much available for the Sacraments e.g for Holy Communion, Anointing, Reconciliation, etc. You can easily reach me through the above contacts.
It is a Christian charity to carry each other along with our prayers, phone calls, and safeguarded visits and other safe Christian ways of reaching out to one another. You are always in my prayers and Masses. The Lord is always with you!
Note: For parishioners and friends of the parish, who wish to write a cheque in favour of St. Theresa’s Totton, please write as follows: PRCDTR Totton
Also, Parishioners and friends of Our Lady and St Edward Lyndhurst who wish to write a cheque in favour of the parish may write as follows: PRCDTR Lyndhurst Our Lady

FOR PARISHIONERS OF ST THERESA'S TOTTON AND OUR LADY & ST EDWARD LYNDHURST
Collection for Vocations : support our seminaries and clergy.
On the occasion of Good Shepherd Sunday, this Sunday 3rd May 2020, a special collection is usually made to support vocations and especially priestly vocations. During this time, when parishes are closed for public liturgies, the lay faithful are unable to give generously in person to the second collection. A special online giving page has been set up to receive any generous donations that people may wish to give to support our seminarians and clergy
If you would like to ensure the future of the Church in our Diocese, please consider donating to support the training of our future priests and the ongoing care of our clergy throughout their ministry. The online giving page can be found by visiting: https://www.portsmouthdiocese.org.uk/supportourseminarians

Message from Fr Gerry 19th April
I celebrate Mass everyday for the intentions of our parishioners, and for God to save his children from this deadly scourge. Let us continue to pray for one another that we keep well.
It is with sadness that we have to announce the passing of, Hilary Kathleen Hartley-Ayres, Mary Raphael Burton and Michelle Brigid Morrison. Please pray for the repose of their souls and also for healing and consolation for their families at this sad time, may they Rest In Peace and Rise in Glory.
Please pray for the following members of our community who are ill or housebound: Bella Calder, Claire Sorrell, Tony Wright, John Tobin, Christopher Brown, Peggy Crooke, Greg Borkowski, Jay Dosanjh, John Vidal, Clara Nolan, Eve Barry, Ray & Mary Templeman, Chris Phelan, Miss Fahim, Alaric Rosman and Mary Taylor. For all those in nursing homes or hospital and other Parish Family members who are ill or need our prayers.
Spiritual Communion:
Prayer of St Alphonsus Liguori - For the times in the days and weeks ahead where you will be unable to attend Mass and receive Holy Communion, you can still reach out to Christ in the Blessed Sacrament with an act of Spiritual Communion. When you are watching a livestream of the Mass, at the time when you would normally receive Communion you can instead say this prayer (written by the 18th Century Italian Saint Alphonsus Liguori):
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament.
I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen
Masses on the internet: You can find many daily Masses from different Catholic parishes available on the internet. Go to www.churchestv.com; http://www.churchservices.tv : http://www.mcnmedia.tv and https://www.portsmouthdiocese.org.uk. Also here: https://www.rpbooks.co.uk/holy-mass-online. For Sunday Mass with Fr Denis McBride, Redemptorist scholar
Financial support for the parish: For many of you this crisis will involve financial hardship and I do understand that. But, this crisis will also significantly affect the upkeep of our parishes. I'd like to thank those who are continuing to contribute by Standing Order or Direct debit. For those who use the envelope scheme or give cash each Sunday, perhaps you will consider setting aside an amount each week that you can afford. You could put the contribution in a marked envelope and keep it until such a time when it can be handed in. If you wish to contribute by Standing Order or Direct Debit instead please contact the parish office.
